THE LEADING SEMINAR IN EUROPEAN ENERGY LAW
Since 1988, the European Energy Law Seminar has had a leading role in shaping discussions in European energy law. Now entering its 31st year, the seminar – organized by the Dutch Energy Law Association (NeVER), in cooperation with the University of Groningen’s Centre of Energy Law and Sustainability and the University of Oslo’s Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law – has become renowned for its high-quality presentations and discussions on a wide variety of energy-related topics. Boasting a wealth of accomplished speakers and a diverse range of topics for discussion, the seminar showcases the fruits of continued collaboration in the energy space, and provides ample room for networking to that end.
The 2020 edition of the seminar, to be held from 19–21 January 2020, in the home of international law – The Hague. The seminar will include a visit to Kneuterdijk Palace, one of the oldest functioning palaces in the Netherlands, and seat of the Council of State of the Netherlands (Raad van State). The Council of State, which is chaired by King Willem-Alexander, is the advisory body on Dutch legislation and the Netherlands’ highest general administrative court. This will be followed by a dinner at the exclusive Sociëteit De Witte, where the guest of honour, Jens-Otto Horslund, Ambassador of Denmark to the Netherlands, will make a speech. We hope to welcome you to The Hague for the seminar in January, and invite you to take a look at our full program. |
