Berend J. Drijber started his career at the law firm of De Brauw (The Hague/Brussels/Amsterdam).
From 1988-1998 he was a member of the Legal Service of the European Commission and from 1998-2002 he was the legal advisor to the EU Permanent Representation of the Netherlands.
From 2002-2017 he was a partner of the law firm Pels Rijcken (The Hague) leading the EU & Competition practice, with a sectoral focus on energy markets.
Currently, Berend is an advocate-general (civil law section) at the Supreme Court (Hoge Raad) of the Netherlands.
