Astrid Hartwijk is currently an independent consultant on energy storage and system integration. 

Until June 2023, she was Chief Development Officer at Corre Energy, an Irish-Dutch listed company developing long duration energy storage solutions. 

She was responsible for developing the growth strategy and building out the pipeline of long duration grid scale renewable energy storage projects worldwide.

With an engineering background, she has 25 years of deep expertise and international experience in the energy sector. Before joining Corre Energy in 2021, she was with Shell for 23 years, working in a variety of business development, operational and management roles in. 

Lastly as Director Transformation at NAM.

To help enable financial and social development of the Northern Netherlands, she serves as non-executive Director at Investerings Fonds Groningen.

Astrid studied at both Leiden University (the Netherlands) and Cambridge University (UK) and holds a MSc in Chemistry.
